AJ's visit to Bydgoszcz
I have spent a few days in Bydgoszcz where I had a couple of meetings with my sponsors and the new chairman of Polonia Bydgoszcz. I guess that details of this last meetings would be the most interesting news for the fans. First of all, I must say I am really glad after this meeting. The new chairman, Mr Jacek Wojciechowski, talked to me for quite a long time and told me about his plans for Polonia. I think it is good he does not want to turn everything upside down at the very beginning and tell people we are building a team for the Championship. You always need a knowledge to do major changes and this knowledge our new chairman is gaining every day. He does admit he is not a speedway expert yet but he is not afraid to ask which is very valuable, I think. I am really impressed by his plans and if everything goes alright, the Bydgoszcz fans may be very happy soon. But obviously it needs some time, you cannot change everything immediately and at once. I know there is a special negotiating team working hard all the time to sign contracts with some new riders. There are a few interesting options but at the moment we cannot really talk about it yet - these are just plans. From my point of view it is very important the chairman wanted to know my opinion on many sports aspects. As the captain of Polonia Bydgoszcz I am really glad about it.
Apart from this, I also met my sponsors - the representatives of Brewer and I visited the KIA Makarewicz car showroom in Bydgoszcz. As it turned, its owner, Mr Wojtek Makarewicz had got a sports injury and his left hand is in plaster now. I know this pain so I really hope he will recover quickly!
Obviously I remember about my fitness and I have been exercising daily even here in Bydgoszcz. I also get massages and other health treatments etc. On Sunday morning I am coming back to Sweden to Friday and Vicent. Vicent has caught a cold but thankfully it is nothing serious and he is getting better. Every day they talk about the swine flu in media so we have all become a bit oversensitive now.
