AJ misses SWC event in King's Lynn

Unfortunately, we can finally confirm earlier speculations and rumours on Andreas' absence in the Speedway World Cup semifinal at King's Lynn this Monday. Last week AJ was struggling with a backache because of the crash he was involved in the Elitserien meeting Dackarna v Indianerna. However, that pain was not so bad and Andreas could still race.

Things got worse last Tuesday, though. AJ feel down again. It was a classic first bend situation and the fall wasn't very serious but eventually it resulted in another injury of back muscles. Until today the whole team had been hoping that painkillers and creams prescribed by Andreas' doctors would work and that the rider would be able to represent his country. Unfortunately, these medicines turned out not to be strong enough and currently AJ is struggling with doing daily life activities, not to mention riding on a speedway bike...

It wouldn't be fair to my national speedway team if I wanted to ride in such state. At the moment I'm simply not able to sit on a speedway bike and ride on it. I really hope, though, that I will be able to join my team in Vojens.

Besides, we had lots of confusion with Speedway World Cup this year. It's not a secret that initially I didn't want to ride in this event because of these (in)famous new silencers. However, last week FIM decided not to force us to use them so obviously changed my mind and we started preparing the whole logistics for SWC. I hoped the medicine I was prescribed would work but unfortunately they are not good enough for this injury... Anyway, I really wish I could ride for Sweden and I hope I will be able to do it next week at Vojens.
