After tonight’s event Andreas is sharing the 4th place in the SGP overall standing with Nicki Pedersen. Both riders are only one points behind Leigh Adams, 3rd, and eight points beyond Greg Hancock who is 2nd. That’s not how Andreas wanted his come back after the injury to look like. The 9th place and only 7 points... If I had qualified for the final I’d have much more points now and I could be even 2nd now. But I still have a chance for a medal, even a silver one. Jaroslaw Hampel who also scored 7 points managed to get to the semi final. The difference was only one heat win...
It could be seen that this first ride after the injury was not what the rider had expected. We still had the wonderful memory in Malilla in our thoughts. However, nothing’s lost yet. There are still two GPs ahead where Andreas is gonna chase Adams and Hancock...
