Starving for wins...

Looks like you're coming back to your normal fit... 11 points with one bonus is not a bad results.

Unfortunately my gating is still poor. I didn't win any start today and had to fight for every point during four laps. That's the main problem and I need lots of meetings to improve it. I still don't feel very well after that crash, had to take a 2-week-long break. It's all a bit frustrating as I expect better performances from myself than the one in Prague.

After the GP in Prague you're only 2 points behind Adams who's 3rd and 8 points behind Hancock, 2nd. There's a serious chance for the first medal in the SGP series in your career
.

I definitely feel I'm in the game. Obviously it would be much better if I had managed to qualify for the final. I'd have more points and would be 2nd now. But there are still two events left so everything's possible.

Let's go back to the GP in Malilla. It's been your first win in a GP tournament ever. Is it special for you that it took place at your home track?

That crowd of Swedish fans, my Swedish club... The whole atmosphere made this night a really special one. I felt kind of extra power thanks to the fans and it's a great thing to win for the 1st time in front of your crowd.

You had been waiting for this success for a really long time. Do you think that something unusual happened?

Of course that day means a lot for me. The first win in SGP was one of this year's aims. The second one is a medal. I feel it was a proper time when I achieved this success. Besides, it was the hightest time.

Don't you think that this breakthrough GP was a bit magical..? At the same time when Tony Rickardsson, the legend of speedway, said goodbye to speedway you won...

It was a symbolic moment. I really don't know what to say. It was a beautiful meeting, it was actually my night. I'm also happy that media started interesting in my person and so much have been said about that symbolic night.

You're a head of Swedish speedway family now.

I'm the captain of our national team and I really want to be this number one. I am the 4th rider in the world currently. I'm the Swedish Champion but I want to be the World Champion too...

Two last GPs ahead. The first one in Daugavpils. Have you ever ridden there, do you know anything about this track?

I've never been there. It will be a totally new experience for me. One day earlier I'll get know this track and I hopefully there shouldn't be any problems. I think the rest of the riders will be a similar situation. If someone of them has ever ridden there, it must have been some time ago. It's gonna be new for all of us.

And in the end... The GP in your second home. The highest time to get on the rostrum here. This could provide you a medal.

This tournament will be followed by many mixed feelings. There's gonna be lots of nerves, joy, energy. This all will be merging into one thing. Obviously there's some pressure. I'd love to win in front of my Bydgoszcz fans. It would be good to win the coming GP too as I've already missed wins...
