Practice in Lonigo

The stay in Lonigo is really busy. The AJ Racing team is working very hard both at the track and in the pits. A huge truck with "suites" of the team catches attention of local fans and other riders. Andreas' bikes and his black-silver new image seem to be equally interesting.

Friday was spent on testing a new front wheel suspension. The mechanics and Andreas tried a few set-ups of a front fork which, as it turned out, still needs some more work.

On Saturday it was engines testing. Four of them were put into frames and subjected to set-ups, ignition and carburetor testing. All test results will be analysed by the team's engine expert – Ashley Holloway. Dudi and Radek had their hands full. Cogs, filters, nozzles, spark plugs, a fuel… Fortunately the team chose a bit less crowdy place on the side so it didn't interfere with other riders having their practice at the same time – the ones from Torun and Italians under command of Armando Castagna.

I'm very satisfied with today's tests – said Andreas summing up Saturday – we have checked four engines and there's only one left for Monday. On Sunday we have a practice match Italy v Torun. I'll ride with number 1 in the Italian team! It's good because I'll be able to race with Torun riders a bit and compare engine performance with such riders like Jagus, Sullivan and Miedzinski. We've done all the work necessary for the publicity and our sponsors. I hope you'll enjoy the new image of my bikes as I do!

Once all tests are done the team is coming back to Bydgoszcz and Andreas is flying to Sweden from Venice via Copenhagen. But he's getting back to Bydgoszcz soon to take part in final preparations for the season at the Polonia track. Next weekend the team is going to England where Andreas will be riding in Sam Ermolenko Farewell Meeting at Wolverhampton on Sunday and Peter Craven Memorial Trophy in Manchester the day after.
