Italy - KS Torun 37-55
Today at 2 pm Andreas took part in his first test match this year. The Italian team with AJ in their line-up competed with KS Torun. Andreas' performance in this match completed some level of preparations and went quite well.Andreas rode in six heats winning three of them confidently. Despite mad chasing, Andreas was second in his first two races - mostly because of poor gating. In the last but one heat Andreas was leading easily as well but a rear wheel puncture (during the last lap) prevented him from winning this race. The optimistic thing is that after some problems at the gate the team managed to make proper changes with set-ups and the breakthrough came in AJ's third heat when he took the lead beating Sullivan on the outside!
It was the first match this year, a debut with Ashley Holloway in the team and I think it was all really usefull - sums up Andreas. We learned a lot today because at the beginning I had some problems at the gate. The puncture reduced my score too but all in all I'm really satisfied. I'm gonna do a few more laps today and of course next practice sessions tomorrow.
