XXVI Aces Criterion
XXVI Aces Criterion has traditionally begun the new speedway season in Poland. But today Andreas didn't perform well enough to come up to his own and fans' expectations. I'm very angry because I came to the stadium to win this meeting! I'm sure we had worked hard enough and I was prepared properly but somehow it didn't go as we wanted today.After his first two heats Andreas was in the lead of the tournament. In the third race series AJ managed to take the lead but then was suddenly overtaken by Szczepaniak. Actually the bikes didn't react for set-up changes and my moves at the track at all. There must be something wrong with them because at the last practice they were fast enough and had that power on the outside. Today it was totally different. I tried various moves and maybe, apart from these engine problems, I simply couldn't find proper lines? I don't know really...
In his last two heats Andreas was significantly slower than the opponents. Despite a heroic fight AJ scored only two points in these races and finished 6th overall.
One thing's certain - we have to check it all again because I'm sure that the reason is within the engines. I was just too slow today! Now it's time to relax and eat something but tomorrow my machanics are gonna have lots of work to do. I won't give up until we find out where the problem lies.
